O ver the years I have purchased a lot of software mostly to generate leads, increase sales, and automate some processes or simply to add more functionality to what I was already doing.

Having spent literarily thousands of dollars on software in past 3 years alone, now I know a good useful piece of software when I see one.

“GoTryTHIS” (GTT2) created by John Reel of GoTryTHIS.com is such a software and it was awarded 2006 Software of the year for a good reason. It works. Period.

Before I get into the technical, features and benefits and how it actually helps me make sales, I want to say that GoTryThis is the only software I use on a daily basis in my online marketing.

From tracking to cloaking to redirecting old links to evaluate losers and winners in my PPC campaigns to split testing it is all about being efficient and getting results in the end of each and every day.

What is “GoTryTHIS”?

Overview:

I purchased GTT version 1.0 back in 2007 when there were 2 versions, the light one and the “Black Hat” one. I opted for the BH GTT and paid $249 plus I wanted them to install it for me on my server for an additional $ 24.95 and I was up and running on Feb 4, 2007. I was actually lucky to get in because at that time there were only 2,500 sold as opposed to the new GGT version 2.0 which is open now to everyone.

I have been using version 1.0 ever since up until July 2009 when I upgraded to the GTT2 which has many added features including the fact that you only install it on one website then add ass may site as you wish on the fly.

How I used GoTryThis version 1.0, how I benefited from this innovative software and how it actually works.

Basically, when I had it installed on my site, I already had many active marketing campaigns; some with Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission junction, Share a Sale, Amazon and many other promoting other Internet Marketer’s products which I promoted either through e-mail marketing, Free traffic sources or PPC and CPA campaigns.

It did not take me long to cloak my affiliate links and get the information form GTT on how my campaigns were actually doing.

To my surprise more then 80% of my campaigns were losers. I was wasting time and money on products that received many clicks but few or no sales at all.

GTT tolled me that I needed to cut the losers out and concentrate my time and promotional resources on the few winners, and eventually test more so I can add more winning campaigns if I were to stay in business.

Some tricks I used:

If you ever used direct linking (to the vendor’s site) with your PPC campaigns you know that Google is giving you a low quality score therefore you get less clicks and pay more.

When I use GTT, I cloaked the link and the miracle GTT does is that the cloaked page actually looks like is on you site (but is not) it is actually the vendor’s page “framed” so it looks like one of your website pages:

In example below, my display URL is www.dotcombusinessreview.com

And the target URL is a page that actually does not even exist on my website but will cookie whoever clicks on the link and I will get credit and paid for the sale. Try it and see the wonders GTT is capable of: http://dotcombusinessreview.com/gotrythis.com

My quality score is high; I pay less per clicks to Google and am more profitable.
